About Pacific Arbour Retirement Communities
Pacific Arbour is a developer of retirement residences in the the Greater Vancouver Area. We currently own and operate The Summerhill in the City of North Vancouver and The Mulberry in Burnaby, two seniors' communities that we designed and developed. Our third seniors' residence, Cedar Springs Retirement Residence is now open in the Seymour area in the District of North Vancouver. Because we own and operate our residences, we stay involved in the community, contributing to the well-being of neighbourhoods and seniors.
The Westerleigh has now opened on the corner of Marine Drive and 22nd Street. This Residence will be Pacific Arbour's fourth retirement community in Metro Vancouver, and the third community on the North shore. Our building has been designed to be enduring and timeless, in keeping with its civic neighbours.
The Westerleigh Retirement Residence offers a service-enriched housing environment for independent seniors 65+. The residence is surrounded by recreational and support services, conveniently located immediately west of the aquatic centre, the ice arena, the community centre, the Seniors' Activity Centre, as well as being close to ancillary amenities such as the West Vancouver Memorial Library and the shops and services in Ambleside and Dundarave. This setting offers seniors convenience, security, and comfort in a well-established community.
In context with the restaurants and retail properties on the south side of Marine Drive, our building's Marine Drive frontage includes 5,000 square feet of retail space and a 3,000 square-foot adult educational facility, with some Capilano University Eldercollege programs from this space.
The residence is built under Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Gold standards. Among the numerous sustainable green building strategies that this certification covers, these features include a high-performance building envelope, heat recovery strategies, reduced use of potable water, a green roof with drought-tolerant vegetation and hybrid vehicles.
